An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Monday, repeating until August 4, 2020
COVID-19 and recent police violence is putting a spotlight on race and racial inequality. As Christians, God calls us to “love our neighbors” but taking action is fraught with the ways in which we are socialized, as well as the ways in which policies and laws are created. Often, it is hard for white people to talk about race — simply because we haven’t had a lot of practice at it or when we have, the level of the discomfort undermines the very conversation we want to have. Let’s talk about this together. Join us for three Mondays, as we discuss “White Fragility – Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Race” by Dr. Robin DiAngelo. You will need to order the book and begin reading it prior to the first meeting. Please register above so we can provide you with Zoom codes.
