The Social Identity & Faith Connection
April 16 @ 7:00 pm
Let’s gather to explore how our social identity intersects our daily interactions. Discuss faith and the complexities of the various social identity markers we carry in our culture. The relationship between our social identity and our faith is complex. Religious affiliations can be a core part of our social identity, influencing personal values, behaviors, and interactions in our society. Join us to discover how our faith, implicit biases, and social identity all influence who we are.
Our speaker, Lisa Sechrest-Ehrhardt, Ph.D., MSW, LMSW, is a social worker whose career focuses on social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. For 25 years, she has provided interactive diversity training and workshops in the private and public sectors. Her expertise includes cultural competence, race and ethnicity, implicit bias, and power dynamics.
