FREE INDEED July 5 Message

What does it mean to be truly free? On the weekend our nation remembers 250 years of independence, we will reflect on a deeper freedom than any nation, ideology, or political promise can give. In Galatians 5, Paul reminds us that “for freedom Christ has set us free,” but he also warns us not to confuse freedom with self-indulgence.

In an age of echo chambers, distorted truth, online validation, political division, and false promises, Jesus offers a freedom that is deeper than personal preference and stronger than fear. Christian freedom is not simply the right to do whatever we want. It is the grace to be set free from sin, shame, fear, legalism, selfishness, and every false master that keeps us from becoming who God created us to be.

This message invites us to discover the freedom of Christ: a freedom rooted in truth, shaped by love, and lived for the sake of our neighbors.
