South Lakes Food Pantry
The SLHS PTSA Food Pantry is available for students and families in the SLHS Pyramid.
- A place where students in the South Lakes High School Pyramid can “shop” for food and toiletries
- Designed to help close the hunger and nutrition gap for the 30% of SLHS students who are on free and reduced lunch (approximately 730 students)
- Distribution focuses on weekends and summer
- Since April 2017 distributed 38,000 bags of food and toiletries (sending home more than 3,000 items per week)
- Weekly orders rapidly increasing from 30 students/week at launch to 150/week and still growing
- 360,000+ items collected from the community to distribute to students and families

- Provide monetary donations and we’ll do the shopping for you. Checks payable to SLHS PTSA are also accepted (please write Food Pantry on the memo line and mail to SLHS PTSA Food Pantry, 11400 South Lakes Drive, Reston, VA 20191)
- Collect needed pantry items at your next event (birthday party, sporting or arts, scouting event . . . the options are endless)
Items we need the most
- Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, maxi pads, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant)
- Canned goods (peanut butter, jelly, beans, tomatoes/sauce, applesauce, chili, veggies, tuna/canned meat)
- Box/Dry goods (crackers, cereal, pasta, rice, lentils, boxed milk)
- Cooking oil
- Laundry detergent, dish soap
- Just ask or email any of your teachers or school counselor and they will help you get started, It’s really that simple!!

Core Foundation
CORE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to incubating and nurturing charitable projects that create meaningful social impact. It provides resources, guidance, and infrastructure to help promising initiatives grow from concept to sustainable community solutions. CORE Foundation works with leaders of all ages, ideally with a business school brain, an entrepreneur’s spirit, and a social worker’s heart.

Elementary School Needs
When school staff at our local elementary schools identify a student who could use a helping hand—whether it’s home essentials, clothing, childcare for PTO meetings or other specific needs—we step in to provide practical support and encouragement. Join us in being a trusted resource for our community’s children by signing up to help when needs arise.

Leadership Mission International
Leadership Mission International (LMI) is a faith-based, nonprofit organization that provides educational and leadership development programs to young women in Honduras. Students attend a two-year English immersion program. The women take classes in community development, business, and entrepreneurial skills.
Team members will visit a rural campus called The Leadership Center (TLC) and experience student’s daily activities. Their schedule includes:

- helping with morning chores (working on the farm) and devotionals
- attending classes with opportunities to teach in the classroom or provide educational seminars

Our vocalists and instrumentalists help lead the congregation in heartfelt, Spirit-filled worship. Whether you're an experienced musician or just have a passion for worship, there's a place for you in our music team.
A/V Team
The Audio Visual team makes things look and sound great every Sunday. Whether you have experience or not, you are welcome to join us. we would love to work with you. This includes audio mixing, live stream, visual presentation, photos and/or lighting.
Hospitality Team
At Restoration, hospitality is at the heart of who we are. Serving on the hospitality team is a meaningful way to help make our church a welcoming place for everyone. Whether someone is a regular attendee or new to our community, we want all to feel included and valued. By volunteering on Sunday mornings to set up, provide coffee, snacks, and greet others, you play a key role in creating an environment of warmth and belonging. It’s a simple yet powerful way to show the love of Christ to everyone who walks through our doors. Join us in making sure everyone feels at home and ready to connect with God and others.
