Kids are important to us at Restoration Church. We would like every child to hear about the amazing love Jesus has for them. And, we want to inspire them to share that love with others.
KidsLife (Grades K-6)
When you arrive at the front doors of South Lakes High School, sign in at the Welcome Table. You will also see the Kids Ministry table and Welcome sign. A friendly adult will greet your child and discuss what to expect so we avoid any worries or surprises. If your child is apprehensive, that’s OK! They can choose to stay in worship with you or go to KidsLife with other kids.
If they would like to attend KidsLife, sign your child in with your phone number and email. We also ask that you sign the photo release to opt your child in (or out of) appearing on the church’s social media and website. After signing in, your child will go into the auditorium with you to experience the first couple worship songs. (Don’t worry if they don’t sit perfectly still! We welcome and encourage dancing.) During announcements, kids will leave with the Kids Ministry teachers, one at each entrance to the auditorium. The teachers will escort the kids to the Lecture Hall for a Bible lesson, games and activities.
Growing Faith Group (Grades K-6)
Do you have a child in KidsLife and want to be involved in their faith journey? Join our monthly Growing Faith Group! We meet after worship every third Sunday to discuss plans, shared experiences and for fellowship.
For more information, contact Jackie Cowgill at firstname.lastname@example.org.
KidsLife and Kid Care are both in the Lecture Hall and welcome all kids, toddlers through students in grade 6. Toddlers must be toilet trained; masks are optional but highly encouraged.
Our childcare workers will have lots of activities and toys for your little ones. They are also welcome to participate in the lesson with the older kids. The check-in process is the same as our Kids Ministry (KidsLife). We can’t wait to meet your little ones!
Currently, we do not have infant care during worship. Check back for updates as we reestablish all our children’s programs.
Child Safety & Security
At Restoration Church, safety and security are our priorities. Masks are highly encouraged for everyone and our staff is fully vaccinated. We take cleanliness seriously, wipe down high contact surfaces, and provide hand sanitizer and wipes.
Our staff is trained in First Aid and CPR and has an emergency plan. We have a first aid kit and a “go bag” with activities, snacks, and water for emergencies. The wonderful thing about hosting church at a Fairfax County Public School is that there are many emergency items already in place. We have fire alarms, defibrillators, and black-out curtains for windows in case of a lockdown. The Lecture Hall, where we hold the kids’ programming, includes emergency exits that lead outside.

Throughout the year, we get together for special events, activities and service projects, including:
- Jingle on the Lake
- Packaging Events
- Popsicles on the Pavilion
- Reston Pride
