I was once almost hit by a golf ball by a Floris UMC member who yelled “Fore!!!” about a second before the ball landed a few feet from where I was standing. That was a moment when I realized the power of “fore.” When we took our youngest child home from the hospital, and the kids outnumbered us two to one, I understood the power of “four.” A close reading of the Bible has helped me see the power of another “for” that has much to teach us about God’s intentions.
