Karen is originally from Virginia Beach but has lived in Northern Virginia since 1991. She lives with her husband, Jon, and two of their adult children, Mary and Jack, along with their dog Ginger. Karen graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a degree in Business Administration. She currently works at Floris Preschool with children ages two and four.

Job Responsibilities: Karen works with the Floris UMC team to determine the theme for the week. Then, she finds fun activities to compliment the Bible story or theme. She also plans a craft to engage children aged preschool to grade 5.
