Join our 17-day challenge–Memorial Day to Flag Day–to raise money for military chaplain scholarships.

May 29-June 14

A portion of this year’s Virginia Conference UMC offering will support the Scholarship Program for Military Chaplains. Your donation will help provide military chaplains the opportunity to pursue a Doctor of Ministry at the Wesley Theological Seminary.

A family in our congregation donated $25,000 to the scholarship fund. We hope you will join them! Let’s help Floris UMC make a significant contribution to support our military chaplains.

Military Chaplaincy Doctor of Ministry Program

“The Doctor of Ministry is the premier executive education program for religious leaders. It’s a rigorous program of graduate-level courses and it helps chaplains go deeper and broader intellectually, emotionally, psychologically, and in their leadership skills.”
– President David McAllister-Wilson

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35
